AI & your data
Last updated June 10, 2026
Kippi uses AI to help you remember your day. Here’s exactly what that means, in plain terms.
What the AI does
- Asks you warm, simple follow-up questions about your day.
- Drafts a page from what you said — turning a few rough sentences into something worth keeping.
- Offers to make a page warmer, shorter, or a little funnier.
What gets sent
The words you type, and the text from anything you say out loud (your voice is transcribed first), are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) so Kippi can ask questions and write your page. That’s the only reason it’s sent. The provider does not use your content to train its models, and we don’t sell it or use it for ads.
When you talk to Kippi (voice)
If you use the live voice conversation, your microphone audio is streamed in real time to our voice provider (OpenAI) so Kippi can hear you and talk back naturally. We don’t store the audio recording. When you wrap up, the page you keep is still written by Anthropic from the conversation. You can always type instead of talking.
You’re always in control
- You see every page before it’s saved, and you can edit it freely.
- Nothing is published or shared automatically. Your book is private to you.
- You can delete any page — or your whole account — at any time.
AI can get things wrong
AI can misremember, embellish, or invent small details. Please read your page before saving itand fix anything that doesn’t match your day. The memory you keep should be yours.
What Kippi is not
Kippi helps you remember and save your day. It is not therapy, not medical advice, and not a crisis service. If you’re struggling or in danger, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis line — Kippi can’t help with that.
